GP - over the festive period

Your GP practice will close on 25th and 26th December 2018 and again on 1st and 2nd January 2019.
If you become unwell and cannot wait for your surgery to re-open then you can get help by calling NHS 24 on 111. Or, you may choose to seek treatment from a local pharmacist.
 
Emergency GP out-of-hours services are provided for all practices in NHS Greater Glasgow and ClydePlease call NHS 24 on 111.

All Year Round

Your NHS is available all year round to care for you.  If your condition can’t wait until your surgery re-opens, call NHS 24 on 111

For:

  • VOMITING
  • EAR PAIN
  • SORE STOMACH
  • BACKACHE

When you have an illness or injury that won’t go away, make an appointment to see your General Practitioner (GP).

Your GP will carry out detailed examinations and provide advice, information and prescriptions. Your GP also provides routine monitoring and management of ongoing health conditions. Examples are diabetes, high blood pressure, stroke and heart disease. They can provide most contraceptive services, minor surgery, maternity services, and immunisations. They carry out screening such as smears and child health.

Your doctor can refer you to another specialist healthcare professional. This could be for tests and treatment.
