The current situation necessitates that clinicians have a high index of suspicion for possible Coronavirus (2019n – CoV) in patients presenting with acute respiratory illness and a history of travel to China, Hong Kong, Japan, Macau, Malaysia, Republic of Korea, Singapore, Taiwan or Thailand.
Currently this virus is classified as a High Consequence Infectious Diseases (HCID) transmitted by the airborne route. It is also spread by respiratory droplets or aerosol transmission in addition to contact routes.
